As promised, here are some photos of some of the horses and ponies of RDA... =)

Laurie!! The handsome boy... A little grumpy and snappish sometimes though... Watch out for his teeth!
Ah.. How I miss the days when I had lessons at the now defunct Sentosa Riding Centre (SRC)... He came from there! I don't know where the rest of the ponies and horses from SRC went... Probably to the Saddle club or something... How I wish I can see my darling Sam again...
Paint! Look at his pretty markings...

Ruby! The sweetest horse! A big and beautiful bay...

Rama's coat is really shiny you know... Very smooth too...
Dunedin... Pronounced as Duh-Nee-Durn... A mouthful? Not really... I rode him during my sidewalker training... He's a real smooth ride...
Now for today...
Went ice-skating at Jurong East... Had much fun there... Plus, I did NOT fall this time round... =D I think I'm beginning to get the hang of it... Just hope that it remains like that the next time I go... =)
Time for sleep now... Goodnight!

FRIDAY
Darn... Didn't go to RDA... Woke up with sore eyes... I have no idea why that happened either... Don't think I came in contact with anyone with it... Ah well... Went to the NTUC in the evening with my mum to buy some of the food for the BBQ on Saturday... =.= The bags were pretty heavy though...
SATURDAY
Worked the whole day through, preparing for the BBQ at night... We were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with my relatives... =) It was really fun, but was super tiring... Oh, my cousin brought her dog with her this time... He's a Papillon (white with brown patches) and I don't have any pictures of him because he wouldn't keep still... =.= Anyway, his name is Uno... I think... It should be how they spell it... My eldest niece also brought her pet - a guinea pig called "PigPig"... =) It was so fuzzy!!! =D
We played with lanterns, candles and the adults (excluding me of course) ate some mooncakes and chatted... Poor me was at the pit working my fingers off... =S Ah well, I can say that I enjoyed myself thoroughly! =D Had lots of fun...
SUNDAY
Pooped from the day of work the previous day... Just lazed around the house and well, tried my best to NOT do anything... Hahas...
MONDAY
Rotted more that day... Darn! I think I'm in the last stages of decomposition already... School better start soon!
TUESDAY
Played TheSims2 in the morning and got bored and started rotting again...
TODAY
Went to RDA!!! We were kind of short of volunteers today... There were only 8 and 2 of them came later, which meant that there was only 6 of us at the start of the session, aka, 1 sidewalker to 1 child... I took different children today... I can say that compared to last week, these 2 boys were really well behaved... Well, let's just say that the combination of squirmish children and a grumpy old pony is quite a disaster... I'm not kidding... At least I can relax when I was around George today... She's such a sweet thing... =D No kicking... =D
Alrighty, I think I'll post some pictures of RDA in the next entry... Gotta go dig for them now...

Hmmm... Haven't posted anything for almost a week now... Was spending all my time playing TheSims2 bon Voyage... It's really cool! I'm thinking of creating a whole new vacation spot once I establish my new neighbourhood.. Yup, I deleted my good old neighbourhood and created a new one... I'm not really missing my sims, but I do regret deleting some of the really nice houses I built... Ah well, I'll just start again! =)
SUNDAY
Forgot what I did on the day... Me and my short term memory... =(
MONDAY
Went back to school with Alison to crash the OBC lecture... There were a total of like 8 other people there... O.o Ah well, that just means that less people failed right? Anyway, we went for lunch with Ms Jyothi (she was practically a celebrity! all the other teachers were crowding around her while Alison and I were "chasing a spider" to photograph...) Hahas... Took some photos with Ms Jyothi too... I'm not going to post it here though... I have my own privacy code... =)
TUESDAY
Was a pretty uneventful day I think... Can't remember...
WEDNESDAY
RDA!! Took loads of pictures! Of the horses and of the place... Anyway, I've decided for now that I don't really like Chester... Until he changes my impression of him, he'll remain in my memory as the one who tried to kick me... Thrice! He was in a real grumpy mood that day...
TODAY
Went back to school at last minute's notice to meet the NParks people... Was briefed on some aspects of our project and was assigned some things to research on and to write a proposal... I can't wait for the project to kick off, though I'm still dreading it a little... I don't think I'll be normal ever again... But that's a small price I'm willing to pay to to do what I like... =) Ah well, I've gotta go transfer some pictures from my camera to the computer...

Okay... I promise a short, short entry today...When I was with my family, having a "coffee break", my dad spotted a woodpecker on the tree across the road. I don't know how he does it, noticing stuff that no one else normally sees. Anyway, it was greyish and had some black patterns around it's neck area. Wanted to take a photo, but it was too far away... Of all days NOT to bring my camera with me! then, another one of those woodpeckers came... Was the mate of the other one I think... It was fun to watch them, until my neck started to ache. My back was facing the tree... =.= Just as I was about to give up and stop looking, something flew past my eyes and landed on the tree just beside me. Guess what it was? A flying lizard!!! You know, the ones which have this "umbrella-ish" skin flap around their neck that can open up and has flaps of skin extending from it's body to it's limbs. Yet another reason why I was killing myself for not bringing my camera!!! I was so cute! Besides, I've never seen something like this up close and personal before!Stupid! Stupid! Ahh... I'm never leaving my house without my camera again!!!Oh, and I'm broke again... Bought the newest Sims2 expansion pack - Bon Voyage. Expensive, but i'm not regretting it... Tested it out just now and it was really great. I think I'm going to delete my current neighbourhoods and create a new one... I've really got to stop creating more and more... Deleting's a good option... I think... Well, I'll sleep on it and decide by tomorrow... =)Signing off,LeyinG

Today has been really fufilling, unlike all the other days i spent rotting.
Went to RDA today!! =D This is definitely what I had been waiting for! The horses, the smell... Ahhh.... =) I did the morning session and met up with most of the "Friday people" I've known since the last time I volunteered there. The children we will be having on Fridays until the end of term 4 are from the Spastic Children's Association of Singapore(SCAS). SCAS is an organization which helps children with Cerebral Palsy.
What is Cerebral Palsy?"
Cerebral Palsy" is an inclusive term used to describe a group of non-progressive disorders occurring in young children in which damage to the brain causes impairment of motor function. The degree of the disabilities ranges from extreme tightness or looseness of the muscles of the body, improper head, shoulder or hip control to slight speech impairment. It is not curable. This can happen before or during birth or some illness or injury of the child early in life.
(taken from SCAS website)
Took this little girl called Charmaine for the first session. She is wheelchair-bound and has very weak muscles in her neck and back. Her head was flopping even when she was not wearing the helmet. Imagine how she must have felt when she had to put on the helmet, which I can say, is not exactly the lightest thing. She also had to wear a brace to keep her back up during the session. Despite her weak muscles, she tried really hard to keep her back straight and her head up so she could see what was going on. She's a strong little girl. Her persevereance was really admirable. Let me tell you, even though she could not really speak, she knew how to convey her feelings very well. When she was up on Laurie, she kept looking to me and Jaime, smiling, enjoying herself. That's the best part of this whole thing I guess, seeing that look on their faces. It's priceless. The fufilment it gives is really something different.
For the second session, we took a boy called Sufi. His condition is not as severe as Charmaine's. He could walk on his own and speak well. He was really looking forward to being on a horse again. The excitement in his eyes, the smile when we pointed out to him the horse he was going to ride, the look on his face when he finally mounted Rama. It's just a joy to see them so happy.
Okay... After the session when the children had all left, I went to the stables and talked to the horses, patted their muzzles and well, talked to them some more. Hahas... Then they were fed and started to ignore me so I left them to eat their hay in peace and went out to sit at the table. It was raining, so I waited for the rain to stop before I went home. By the time I left, the rest of the volunteers were long gone.
When I reached home, I was really tired... Had my lunch and went to take a nap... Then I played with my bunnies for a while before coming to use the computer.
Alright... Dad's home and it's time for dinner..

Thursday.
Thursday.
Thursday.
Today has been really boring... Nothing fun to do, cooped up at home the whole day, doing housework... You know what I mean... I'm already missing school... Seriously... Even though I have to wake up early for school during term time, spend hours on the bus and get half dead just by the trip itself, I really do miss going to school... At least it gives me a purpose, unlike the aimless rotting i'm doing at home now...
Rot.
Rot.
Rot.
Well, at least I have something to look forward to today. I'm going over to RDA tomorrow!!! Hahas.. I've missed all the horses there so much! The smell, the atmosphere... It just makes me feel like i've stepped into another dimension entirely. I feel really comfortable there, away from the stress and all the stupid worries. The other volunteers there are really nice people too... =) Aww.... I'm looking at the photos on their website now... *gushes*
Then there's my bunnies... BearBear is just so absolutely adorable when he hides in his almost destroyed cardboard box and peeks out... My sweet darling... Almost 3 now and he's still every bit the baby he was... Guess our pets never have the need to grow up huh? Having all their needs provided... Toys too... Oh yes, talking about toys, BearBear is sooooo in love wit his yellow ball! You should see him pushing it around, trying to stand on it, bite it and burrow with it at the same time. It's so hilarious!!
Ok Ok, I seem to be neglecting Pannie a bit aren't I? Well, it's just that she's less mischievious and gets into much less trouble than her counterpart. But I can assure you. She's the most loving bunny i've ever seen. All factors considered. She can lie in my arm all day... Except when she needs to go to her litterbox. She'll turn and look and me and squirm a little and i'll let her down. Oh, she licks me too! All the time... Hahas... Just like a little puppy... She's calm most of the time, but you should see her when she's in her playful mood. She'll be jumping around doing her binkies and banging into the walls and such... Okay, maybe a little too wild, but that's how she is.
Alrighty, it's almost time for dinner and I promised my Mum that I would help. Till next time!

Just got my results back...
Not a very encouraging one I would say... I'm kinda disappointed with my HAP results... Only got a C+ for all the mugging I did... Maybe it was due to the diarrhea and nausea that morning... =(
I am quite satisfied with my Maths results though... Got a B.. That's definitely an improvement from the FAILs I had been getting...
Got a C+ for PIPC too.. But I had kinda expected that... Never have been good at calculations... Throw in moles and I'm drowning already...
Last of all, I got a B+ for my OBC... Should have gotten an A... Well, guess I can't change anything now and might as well just live with it...
Then for the non-examinable subjects, I got a PASS for APEL and a DISTINCTION for CSAS. That's the only one i'm really happy about.. =)
Well, life moves on and takes me with it... No point trying to change the past... It'll never happen anyway, unless i'm some sort of witch or something..
Academic areas apart, i think today went pretty well... I got this blog up and running and I also finished a book by Kelly Armstrong - Broken. It's about a pack of werewolves sent on a job to steal this letter which was apparently sent in the past by a person named "Jack the Ripper" to the police at the time when this man was assumed to be a serial killer... Plots progresses and thickens and I was so absorbed in it that I early forgot to eat... It's quite a good book, but I personally don't think it's that wonderful.. If you get what I mean... It's a good read if you have the time...

Ok... So now that I've completed the new layout, it's time to put up the tag box and update some random stuff about me.
I'm hungry... Could do with a bite of food now...
Spent a good two and a half hours making the layout... Hope it's not too shoddy...
I should really get some food now...
See ya!
